View Full Version : Help With EE 1.22

I have read through some of the issue people have here with 1.5 and pathing. However, I am running EE .122 and I am having a problem where thumbnails and photos just won't show.

However, if you go to the thumbnail or photo properties and copy the link from there and paste it on your browser, it works fine.

Now the way the URL forwarding works is as follows (and I am not sure if this is causing the problem):

http://photos.thefongfamily.com directs you to
http://mcauslan.force137.com/gallery but I cannot see why that is an issue since http://mcauslan.force137.com/gallery points to somewhere else as well. And as I have mentioned, looking at the properties of a link to a photo that doesn't show, you can verify that the link is accurate by copying and pasting it on your browser.

Any advice on how to address this would be much appreciate. Thank you very much.

Regards,
Ferdinand

there are several issues with v1.22... some of them are that only certain extensions are recognised like jpg and gif and that they must be in lowercase... i don't recall everything as i actually went and did some editing in the source files to get some things to work for me... however, i definitely remember the uppercase/lowercase problem... best thing to do is to search the site and/or look thru all the message threads for stuff related to v1.22... either that or just go ahead and move up to the 1.5 series... i wish i had my notes with me but they are over an hour away :(

THIS thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22564) is the one that pointed me at the case problem...

Ferdinand,

As you have small caps file extensions and the image addresses in html source code look just fine, the only explanation must be that there is a server directive active in mcauslan.force137.com which prevents loading images from any other domain than itself. So, as you use Apache/1.3.29 you should check .htaccess files for any such restrictions.

Thanks wkitty42 and Pekka.

Pekka, even if the domain ultimately points to mcauslan.force137.com? Thanks again for taking time out to explain to a newbie on this.
