Newbie.......

What a fantastic forum........the info is endless.
I'm relatively new to photography and have just bought a powershot S3 which replaces a powershot A70.
Rather than go feet first into a top end unit i researched my price range and the S3 was seemingly the way to go and i am not disappointed.
Until i started to lurk on here i was just a point and squirt photographer but now with all this info I want so much more from my camera.

Here are a few of my first attempts.......not too bad but i hope to get better as i munch through the batteries...:D

Wow nice shots. I've had my S2 for 2 days and shot over 200 pics already lol. Went through the "packaged" batteries almost the first night. Luckily I smartly bought a set of Canon Ni-MH rechargeables when I ordered the camera. Still gonna buy another set too lol specially if I keep shooting like this.

Wow, that's a lot of shots!! But I bet you have been learning alot by shooting that many shots.

The headlamp pic is very nice. Congratulations on your purchase--the S2 and S3 are very nice cameras.
