I found this auction on ebay while looking at prices for a 10D.
Its a voyeur lens that shoots out the SIDE and not the front! haha!
Thought I would share. Someone buy one and tell me how it works. Its only $50

Acutally there have been a few threads here regarding people looking for these as they are starting out in Street Photography and are trying to be a little covert at first until they have the courage to go without it.

It doesn't look like it would fit over any decent tele ( like a 400/2.8 ), so it must be for intimate voyeur situations only.

Those things were available 40 years ago, when I was first learning about SLRs and 35mm cameras were referred to as the 'miniature' format!

Only problem is... you may unknowingly be pointing the lens towards someone who DOES get pissed off that you're taking their picture.

you can stand near some one and take their picture with a wide angle lens and they'd never know it.

interesting! Is there actually a hole in the side of it or is it solid with some type of tinted look through? Anyone know?

It has a hole in the side and a 45 degree mirror inside to get that special photo through. You could also glue a mirror to the toe of your shoe and photograph your foot alot. That would be almost as subtle.

What's new about this?
Everyone knows that the moment you get your lens pointed at a bird it takes off,.
Thus I have been using one like this for years for Birding.
