A Bird and a Cat

I took these a couple of months ago, but I thought since I actually have them handy, I'd post them up and see what everybody thought.

The lorikeet is a terrific pose but just a little soft? (or is it my eyes??-probably) I think the lioness in front of the maleis distracting..I'd do a close crop of the male lion's head but this is just me. To me there is too much space and those vertical lines behind him are distracting also. Hopefully you'll get some better input. Those lorikeets are so pretty!

no..it's soft. shot at 1/25 on a lens w/o IS. Those lines in the background are trees actually, which now that you've brought them up, I don't think I really noticed before. Thanks for the feedback. I'll be trying again this weekend.
