Had my first dap at concert photography today and I did not like it one bit - I missed the whole event fussing over exposure :lol:

Here are a few shots I took (ISO 1600, f/2.8, some with flash - some without).

I think I hated was the obtrusive white background which gave very bad colours and a horrible shadow:

A very reasonable attempt at the dark venue without flash...and a very good result with flash...

What lens was this with?

i thought the 60mm 2.8 was a Macro lens...so it looks real good...that black silhouette on red IS real cool...so is the 1st one...

Thanks very much for both responses :)

Sorry I didn't mention but yes the 60mm is the macro lense. I am getting an 85mm f/1.8 soon which will replace the 60mm for low light photography.

I have to agree that the teachers are great. Although I don't work with them (still at school) and never will :p
