A picture I snapped of my brother-in-law's sister while we were in Santa Monica:

Can I call you Mr. Candid? :)
Since this is in "Cirtique Corner"... the subject looks a little out of focus to me. Also, the people in the background are very distracting. I like the columns in the background. Personally, I think the shot could be greatly improved by darkening (burning) the people in the background. Nothing like red clothing in the background to mess up your shot!
Otherwise, I think this shot has real potential. This looks like a fun style of photography. That's the key... always have fun. :)

Yeah, unfortunately I was not panning quite fast enough to get her totally in focus, but I think the slight blurriness sorta adds to whole "on the move" imagery. As far as the people in the background, I have to disagree with you...I think they add to the "on the move" feel, while not distracting the viewer from the main subject. But I did put this in Critique's Corner, and I do thank you for your critique. :D
And yes, it is quite fun getting shots like that.

This is what I love about photography... two people can see the same image in two totally different ways. Well, your "on the move" theory sounds solid to me. In the end, this one is a matter of personal taste, and since you're the photographer, you get to decide! :)
Glad to hear that you like the critique, and glad to hear that you are having fun. :)
Until next time... :)

Yeah...if you're not having fun, then what's the point? :D Thanks again for your comments and the time it took to critique the photo.
Keep shootin'!
