What do you think?

The picture is already cropped from its original size...do you think it should be cropped anymore?

At first I didn't like it, but then seemed to grow on me, I would have to experiment in the lab and play with the cropping. Some people have that instant touch as to were to crop I must experiment.

I would crop it - firstly from the bottom to get rid of the dead space up to the curb

next I'd crop out the person walking into the frame and then crop the top of the picture to even it up.

Thanks...I will definitely experiment with the cropping some more. And I didn't even notice the person walking into the picture on the left side...thanks for pointing that out! :D Next time I go down to Santa Monitca, I'll see if I can get a closer picture of one of the pigeons as they fly down 3rd street.

Wow, that is really cool looking. What camera settings/lens did you use for this shot?

As for cropping... all I can say is experiment. I kind of like the way the bird is small in the frame. But definitely play around with it and see what you like.

I think somewhere between panarama and landscape would suit this photo. There is a dynamic flow going across the photo, so at least a landscape is a must.

I would keep the street and curb, but loose some of the yellow window display. It contrasts with the bird for attention. Leave some or all of the lamp post base in, and leave ample of room for the bird to 'fly into.' I would attempt to place the bird on the left third mark and see how that goes.

Quite nice already though.
