I was expermenting c low light situations and this is one of the more dramatic shots. Any thoughts?

I would like it if it where two seperate photos, let me explain.

1. The plant with the back lighting I find very interesting (but without the candels) may have used a little subtle lighting on the pot.

2. The painting with lamp would be the other shot, for some reason I like the lamp arm being there.

I am how ever stumped on the angles of the shoot.

As to the angle of the shot, I suppose I could tell you that I was studying Orson Welles' use of oblique angles in "Citizen Kane". It would be a boldfaced lie, that would sound better than the truth.

The fact of the matter is, I accidentally had the camera set for multiple rather than single shots. I kept my finger on the shutter after I stopped pointing the camera. Personally, I think the oblique angle works very well with the almost surrealistic look of the rest of the picture.

Thank you for your comments.

I like it, but agree with Dawg that you must remove the candles. The oblique angles are OK for me.

Well, i for one like the candles. At first i didnt even notice they were there, so they could be redundant, but when i did notice them i think they are a nice soft touch and dont bother me at all. They even give a sort of sense of positioning and kind of anchor what is around them, dont they?
Of course the composition is... Well, that has already been discussed.
