Does anyone know how to fix barrel distortion with Adobe CS?

If it is the same as CS2 go to Filter > Distort > Lens Correction.

There is no "lens correction" using this route.......

That was a new to CS2 feature. Here is PTLens: http://epaperpress.com/ptlens/.

I thought about that one. Do you use it? If so, is it as good as it appears? Reviews have rated it on par with the DoX, costing a fraction of the DxO!

No I haven't, but many have recommended it. I either live with the distortion, or back up and use a longer FL.

You could try Filter -> Distort -> Spherise...

PTLens is definitely worth looking at. I don't use it a lot, but I certainly would never think of deleting it.

You can do that, and I often do. But my experience is that that works best when you add 100% to the canvas size, then crop back when you are done. Spherize does a ball shaped adjustment in the center of the canvas. By expanding the canvas, you place your entire shot within the adjustment area. Here is an extreme example to demonstrate what I mean.
