v2 lcd e24 error message

does anyone out there know what the e24 error message on the lcd of my v2 means. many thanx.

if i remember correctly it means that there is a power failure.
this can be caused by several things!
most times it's a defective board

so there's nothing much you personaly can do :cry:
you'll need to send it to canon

there have been remedies for other errors here but not for the E24 as far as i know :?

do you think it could be a fuse, as the lens extends and then retracts before the message shows up?

no it can't be. an ixus only has 1 fuse
so if the ixus fuse is blown it won't work at all.
