i bo- i don't think any of these shots were even taken at 400mm. this guy couldn't care less about me and i had to zoom out most of the time to get him in the frame.
canonloader- i said the exact same thing while i was shooting him :)

Just wondered, have you been having clear weather there? If so, step outside and see if you can see the Aurora. Supposed to be big the next night or two.

The last five are a little dark and easily fixable, but the subject matter is what is important here. Excellent shots of nature at its best!

Holy smokes!!! These are truly awesome. I love #s 1 and 4, the pose of the rat in #4 is so relaxed with the front paws on his chest until ---snapp--- the head comes off. That's timing! Congrats on the whole set, Snir :)

thanks guys. the funny thing is that i left out the more graphic shots because i thought that they were a bit much (on where the head is being cut off and the other where he has the entire head in his mouth)

Stunning shots. Love #2 where you can see how big and powerful the bird is. You can almost imagine him thinking "Ahh.....PWNED" :D
Most 'animal lovers' cringe when they see their beloved creatures tearing into their food. Such is nature.. it is not always kind and thus goes the cycle of life. Of course that does not mean one should go overboard. You've walked a very fine line between accurately portraying the Bird and its Breakfast, without crossing the line into vulgar territory. Well done!

Man, those are outrageous! The detail is phenomenal, and you got CLOSE! What gruesome action. That poor mouse didn't stand a chance. Being a lover of raptors, it's still hard to see the prey end of the deal. But that's nature. Much less cruel than man. Excellent shots, with perfect timing.
