No - all shots handheld. I made a feeble attempt to get a photo permit after reading stories here about being hassled with a tripod. I couldn't get the permit so I didn't even bring my tripod along.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yup - that's Carnegie Deli. I cannot get enough of their corned beef and pastrami. I order a sandwich and I end up with 3 sandwiches out of it.

Yes - with a tripod. I don't know - like I said, I have read on this forum that some people have been hassled about using a tripod in the city. I had no problems taking pictures.

Yes, that is entirely much more meat than the average person needs. My friend who is the one in that picture actually ate the whole thing. I got the same sandwich but had it for 3 meals. However, I have eaten the whole thing before.
