When opening zoombrowser, error code 0x80040b55 alerts me that a database issue exists and prompts me to either restore or create a new database. Clicking "restore" has no effect. Clicking "new" issues cautions about the implications of creating a new database. I've attempted to follow the commands and hang-up at screen that wants me to "register an image folder to the database". What specific steps do I follow from here in order to successfully open zoombrowser? My images won't download until it zoombrowser is working.. Thanks to all for resposes.

I would try to uninstall and reinstall ZoomBrowser.

Thanks for the response!
Did the good ol' uninstall/install method right away ...a couple of times even. Same story.
I even dabbled with creating a new database (maybe this is the problem...) to no avail, though I'm not certain that I executed did this process correctly.
The pictures from last night's party are waiting to be downloaded!

Try using a cardreader and the downloader from www.breezesys.com, I stopped using ZoomBrowser completely when I discovered that site.

The best recommendation is to update your version to 4.5.1

http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/customer/psswup.html

This version doesn't use a database system, so you won't experience this problem.

If you want to resolve the current versions issues, goto c:\program files\canon\zoombrowser\database
- Erase all the files in the database folder, then reinstall.
