I like this alot
did you create it or is it something I'm not seeing ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's one of those christmas light sets with like 500 small lamps after each other, photographed out in the night, but not focused on the lights but either to infinity or, the more probable, real close up, to create this beautiful effect.

This is a wonderful example of circles of confusion !!!

Thank you all for your comments. Yes, these were christmas lights. They were hangin from a wall in threads, maybe 50 of them in one thread. As a "normal" subject matter, they are rather boring, so I set me up to approach that subject matter differently. And well, here we go... :)

Very cool abstract habakuk, definitely cool when we find something beautiful in the mundane.

insanely wonderful!

Thank you too. Yes, Dorman, I think the real beauty is buried in the not so obvious things. And to discover them, one needs to stop using labels and categories - just look, wonder, enjoy. Beauty is ubiquitous.

That's very cool! The really bright little guy in the lower-right corner takes my attention away from the rest of the image, though... otherwise, this is pretty mesmerising to look at. :)

Great abstract - looks like my brain a couple of days into the Christmas count down :( :D But joking aside, I think it's terrific.

Another nice one Roland.

Because of the gap in the left portion my mind keeps wanting to make letters out of this. Very interesting.

I like the abstract. That lens has bad bokeh, but it adds to the abstract.

Cool shot, I did some like this but then I discovered when viewing them on the pc just how dirty my sensor was!

this image drove me batty briefly while I tried to figure out if there were hidden words in the out of focus highlights.. then I read what the image was of and stopped looking for what wasn't there. Nice shot. :)

Not a chance Roland. I've already become accustomed to your quality images. I'm afriad you will have to live up to your normal standard and then move from there if you like. ;)

Oh, ok. But you leave it to me to define "normal" standard, will you? Thank you! :D
