I shot this one a little while back for a competition... Came 6th of 83 in a HDR contest.

After thinking I no want to shoot all the sheakespeare properties in Warwickshire and possibly go on to do the rest of the touristy areas - Heres my first outing this month to cove the Anne Hathaway Cottage. C&C welcome by all means and I would like you to choose your favourite one or two please...

Im still not 100% on this HDR technique and do still prefer traditional photography but it does get peoples interest and I kinda enjoy doing it - I guess it allows me to use techniques of oversaturating and get away with it easier...

Thanks for your time looking.

AMEND - For those that wanted to know how its done, the shooting every stop on these refers to EV ( Exposure Compensation ) - they were all shot at F22 on my 17-40mm lens and in Av mode started at -3 EV (the button +/- on your cameras), once I had shot 7 images with no one or anything moving too much (apart from branches) I moved on to the next angle I wanted and did another 7 shots.

Back at home I Converted all my RAW's to TIFF's in Raw Shooter Premium 2006 without amending anything on them and then imported all 7 shots in Photomatix where I stipulated that each shot was one stop apart and then Generated the HDR, after this I Tone Mapped them in Photomatix and then cleaned them up in Photoshop with levels (added more light - made the image dull and grey - for a reason) then slight inverse S curve in Curves and added about 15 contrast and less light by 5, sharpened and saved.

Used my 1D yeah but dont forget that alot of the saturation comes through in tone mappign these puppies, 7 shots taken from -3 to +3 in one stop increments all in RAW converted out in RSP 2006 as they were shot no tweaks as TIFFs and then into Photomatix to HDR and Tone Map, Cleaned up in Photoshop.

Personally, I'd say you took the HDR too far. I much prefer the subtle HDR, rather than the screaming HDR. The colors really pop, but there is still a lot of ghosting around the forms (blending errors).

I would have to say that I like the HDR work a lot from a surreal standpoint.
I have been reading a lot about HDR and I think that it is a form of expression as many others...

Nice work, vibrant colors, a rendition of what you wanted to "say" with your photos...
Thanks for sharing
