I vote #3 as the favorite. I am always so afraid to crop in too close, but love the close crop. Thanks for showing me again that close crops are A-OK!

Beautiful!

I'll weigh in as the grump. She's a wonderful kid, but I think I've seen better shots of her on this forum before. #1 has some great colors, though I'd really prefer to see her smile. Her eyes are picking up a bit of the purple, which is really nice. #2 is missing the smile, yet it's not somber. In #3, I can't tell whether she's happy or about to cry, but I lean towards the latter.

That leaves #4, which I think captures her personality. My only whine is that I can't see all of her hands, yet it's not possible to crop them out without ruining the shot.

I don't mean to be negative. She's a super-cute kid, and the shawl makes her look really cuddly. I'd love to see another session with it.

in #3 she was Laughing and personally its my favorite shot from the series. As for her hands I thought about that while I was shooting but if I were to have her hands in the picture then the whole idea of the picture was gone. I wanted to be in that close. I may get more shawl pictures soon, Thanks for the comments. :)

I love the black and white one best. I think the shawl looks awesome in black and white. I also like the light in the eyes, really adds to the beauty of the portrait. Good work on them all, I really like the b/w pic best. :)

Honestly, I thought the colour ones were good but something in me felt like they could be better. When I came down to the bw version I instantly knew what that something was. The black and white is incredible, much nicer than the colour versions which although pretty good, aren't "great" like the bw one is.

Wow, Love those eye's. Very beautiful shots but the B&W is really great. Good Job.
