I have installed WINXP on a clean machine, and installed
the WIA driver from the canon web site.
However, when I connect the camera to the USB cable
nothing happens. What should I do ?

I have a Digital IXUS (equivalent to S100) which is not working in WIN XP. I have downloaded and installed the Windows XP driver for Powershot v3.9.1 and Zoombrowser Updater v3.2 to update my earlier version of Zoombrowser. I upgraded to WIN XP from WIN ME. I had no problems with my original software and WIN ME. With WIN XP and the latest Canon software my computer does not recognise my camera. I would be grateful for a solution.

hi there
i have had the same problem.
but after a long day looking into why. i have found out that the problem is a conflict with the two usb devices i have connected. ( visioneer 7600 usb and canon s10)
both of them installed drivers that were not signed, but they said they would be ok.
however the equipment is ok, but they still didn't work. either one or the other would work but not both.
here's what to do!
just install both of them and go into device manager and disable the one you are not using. all is good again!
and the dam things work. phew!
regards
