Nice to see you here again, Nicole! No Gear List and no EXIF ... what's a body to do? :-)

Looks like she had some really good lighting, esp. for the bass and guitar.

Lots of nice stuff and nicely saturated color. I really like #1. That angle and subject is a favorite. It looks like you had great access too. I'm envious ;)
Nicole, were any of these with the 24/1.4?

Cool pics, CanonTuser is right, the lighting does look more than satisfactory, Great set No. 3 is the winner for me.

Thanks Dwight! I've been working a 2nd job the past month so I'm working well over 70 hours a week, I haven't had much time to shoot shows or shoot much of anything lately, but I'm back again!

Great photos...
Your summation of the EXIF info is excellent...The comparison of the fast primes and the great "L" lens is priceless...Personally I love primes and respect the Very High Resolution of the "L" lenses...
I reluctantly got a birding "L" lens instead of the great wide angle 24mm 1.4 prime lens... Otherwise, we have very similar glass...

Nice shots, I like #1. This angle makes me wonder where you were. With the 24mm you must not have been fairly close. Were you standing on stage or were you in the little space between the stage and crowd at arena level? (thanks dwight for asking for exif data)

I was standing between the barricade and the stage in the photo pit. The stage was about 3 feet high and Pete was standing at the very end of the stage, so I turned around and snapped that shot.
