Challenge #50-THE LETTER "U"

We have had many types of photo contests this year, from eyes to the color orange to sports to portraits. When I saw that I won the last contest I knew exactly what I was going to do, THE LETTER U. This meaning taking a photo of something that starts with the letter U. Be Creative. FOLLOW THE RULES, and have fun! PM me with any questions.

Everyone had some great shots, and I was really surprised that no one took a picture of an umbrella!

First place goes to O_T with the shot of "Up"- The perspective of this shot is what got to me!

Second place goes to Seaglass with Self Portrait- Yes it is disgusting, but the black and white conversion rocks!

Third Place goes to spur with the Udders: Classic photo! And a Classic "U" photo!

I loved all the rest of the photos too, and I'm sorry again about this being late! I thought I would of had internet access!

So O_T it is now your turn! Thanks to everyone for entering! I had fun!

Hi Ashley and Thank You for the 1st place. I was somewhat amazed at the lack of things that related to the letter "U". I even googled, searching, and remembered the shot I'd taken a couple weeks ago. I was sure spurs originality would grab 1st. I even thought of udders but didn't know how well I'd do borrowing a cow.
Seaglass scared the "you know what" outta me when I first saw his entry, and the toilet paper hanging from that ladies waist band had me laughing.

Great entries everyone, and the new challenge is up.

lol my wife's first thought was "you can do some cool things with an umbrella". Of course underwear came to mind and then what do you know it was the first pic posted lol. My thought for a shot was shooting a local underpass at night with the "trailing lights" effect, or shooting an older train underpass that would probably have made a great shot in BW. But weather got nasty, cold, and rainy, so I didn't get out :(

Congrats to the winners. I like the uvula shot and thought it was really creative.

Actually if you really thought about it there were many possibilities. I was kinda leaning towards photographing a utility pole, then I was thinking about an unshaven face or an unopened Christmas gift. If you used "un" in front of other words then you had a lot to choose from. With the holidays I just didn't get a chance to get out and photograph anything. :|

I found this contest on another thread I was looking at one another website. They had lots of umbrella pictures. I don't know what I would of taken if I was the one entering! Nice Job again everyone can't wait to see the new contest!
