Hi

I'm here from Jordan...i find this forum very interesting..thank god i found
it..because i could really use some advice from you people..if you all don't
mind.

i own a A540 ...and I'm really suffering in taking night shots!
you can know exactly what I'm talking about in my
flickr profile..take a look Here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/alialhasani/)

pleas i have been suffering from this from a long time..any help
will be greatly appreciated ...

when i want to take a picture for a view..i have to turn the flash
off so it appears...and I'm lucky if it even does..some of the
pictures on the flickr profile may look good...but from the
pictures i saw for other photographers and they own the same camera
i think there is something seriously wring in me...i need to know what is it

Thank You in advance

Looks like you might want to use the self-timer as well as a tripod. You may also need to manually focus, since in at least one of the sunrise pictures the camera was focussed on the nearby tree branches, not the distant buildings. You might want to bump up the ISO to shorten your exposures (200 won't be all that bad), and try underexposing a little more to deepen the sky colours as well.
