The church where my parents go to asked me to take images at the Christmas play. I think I did pretty well... I used a 300D and Canon 85 1.8. Settings were ISO at 800 and on AV. Most shots were at F 2.3...

I tried to capture some motion in one shot, but do not think it really works for me...

These photos are well framed with good composition...there is a tad of a shake in the first one...

You too, used the 85mm 1.8 this weekend...I also did, in my Sha Na Na thread postings...I was very unfortunate to sit behind a 5' speaker at stage side...however, besides the speaker, the proximity was great...I also got side shots of the performers...I was shooting at ISO 1250...

I use:

http://photobucket.com

to store my photos and export them here...It allows me to post 8 photos...and it's free...

Thanks John doe the link. I have been attaching them due to my work blocking any of those types of sites. It is kinda annoying, and I often cannot see images posted from those sites. Thanks for the compliments on composition.

wow, didn't realize the work site situation...Personally, I liked the attachment features...The import/export to photobucket take me forever on dial-up, up wards of 10 minutes per picture...everyone is on my case to upgrade my Internet service...being retired and constantly posting here, gets me all mixed up about decision making...I guess, I'll have to upgrade asap...

Yeah, I do not understand why it is blocked. I just checked your thread out. I checked via cell. They looked great, but it is hard to get accurate viewing via cell. I subscribed to thread and post tomorrow.

#1 is nice, but has a bit too much motion. In #2 it's a pitu that the arms of the first girls are blocking the heads behind them... Composition and light is nice though.

Thanks Rene, I have been experiementing with getting the right amount of motion. Not easy... for me that is. I had not noticed the blocking of the faces until now. Will try to look for that next time.
