I'm new to this forum, so apologies if I repeat something that's been discussed before. I've been using Zoombrowser (various versions) for the last couple of years, most recently 4.02. With 4.02, I've been able to edit the photos (using Paintshop Pro) and still retain the "shooting information" on the saved image. A couple of weeks ago I updated to 4.51a and noticed that any images edited and saved since then have lost all this info, when viewed in Zoombrowser. The normal subset of the info is still there when I right click and view properties of the files in XP. Any ideas of what has gone wrong - or is this a "feature" of the new version? Any help is appreciated.

I may have partially answered my own query. Here was my reply from Canon:
"Please be advised that once an image has been edited the exif data is no longer valid and as such is no longer available to be viewed."
After some experimentation, editing with PaintShop Pro 8 does not lose the exif data - but the latest version of Zoombrowser (4.5.1a) no longer appears to read it (4.02 seemed to read it OK). After reading some other topics on this forum, I downloaded a trial copy of Breezebrowser, which has no problem in seeing the "lost" exif data.
I'm disapointed in Canon's response, each new version of Zoombrowser seems to have added new features and lost others. Maybe it's time to stop using it...
