One of my favorite ebay purchase is a helicoid extension tube set that I won for $15. I can attach a Rodenstock Apo 75mm macro lens that I got new on Ebay for about $100. I took the jade plant relative with this lens and was very pleased at the result.

The cactus flower pollen and stigma is at an approximate magnification of 4x lifesize. Both images were stacked.

Both wonderful shots but the geometry in #1 is particularly stunning.
What software do you use for stacking?

Thanks Brian. Now that I have had a chance to see your work, I paticularly appreciate your kind words.

I have been using Helicon software. It does an amazing job, but it soes have issues with halos. What stacking software are you using?

most stackers here use the free download - CombineZ.

Excellent images.

I use freeware combinez5, I did try helicon but found a higher success rate with combinez5. Still get halos etc though :) but found combine z5 was better at aligning pics.

Thanks RM & Brian. I will definitely try the combine z software. Since alot of my plants are wind resistant, I tend to do alot of stacking.
