My son, Shep, sitting on our bathroom floor watching his mom and sister put on nail polish. "Can boys wear nail polish too?" Mom: "sure." Dad: "grumble grumble grumble."

That's so funny! Definitely a familiar conversation, and your reaction was universal. Good lighting in your picture. It's a cute shot.

In a dress!? Oh man.... not to hijack the thread, but my son put on mommy's boots the other night and said, "I'm a woman now, daddy!" *sigh*

Now nail polish I can actually deal with. Dress? Um, I don't think so! Now a good manly kilt would be fine on the other hand. Fortunately we have a girl to put dresses on. But you can bet if Shep is walking around with a dress on you all will get to see the photo.

Up until now I've hated using flash for anything but macro. But I finally bit the bullet and bought the 430EX along with the Gary Fong Lightsphere. It's not exactly high tech and it definately decreases the light coming out of the flash but I really like the way it softens the light. My wife, the retired wedding photographer, says it's just an ugly diffuser. But so far I really like it. I just picked up the yellow cap that let's you shoot in tungsten WB mode so that the background lighting gets propper WB as well....though I haven't used that particular piece of plastic yet.
Many thanks to you all for the comments. :)

I've got my son on video wearing a dress and adjusting his sock boobs..... he never knew we had the camera on. He was about 6 or 7 years old. Wait till he gets married. I love ammunition. :)
Cute picture. :)
