First pic with my new 17-70

well actually its not my first pic. the first one was the counter at 17th street photo. just snapped a couple in the store to make sure everything worked. but this is like the 5th or so pic. anyone who says this isn't a big step up from the kit lens is out of their mind. this thing is great. sorry its not a duck. that will have to wait until my next day off.

I love the lens. I can actually make out what i was trying to take a picture of now. is that the real name of that duck? what about this one?

Mine just arrived today. I was at work when it came and now it's dark so no photos but maybe tomorrow I can wander around at lunch.

I have to say, the build is very nice indeed. I have to wonder what an L lens is like because this Sigma has a very nice solid feel to it. And I like the rubber coating which is ever so slightly glittery. You know? I'm pretty impressed.

One question though. I bought a B & W circular polarizer, but I wasn't supposed to get the slim kind right? I'm thinking the slim filter would be more like for a 10-22 or something?

Anyway, it's a nice lens so far. :p
