I grew up in New England, so my idea of old/new, and history, is driving down roads with brick walls from the 1600s drawing property lines. There's less of that type of history in Seattle, but this photo shows the contrast between old and new really well. To me, at least...

This was the D60 and Sigma's 15-30 EX, all the way at 15 mm, and a very lucky 30 second exposure.

If you want to see a very cool old/new of Seattle then take a look at this. Two Panoramic shots, most likely taken from Alki, taken about 95 years apart. It is really amazing. LARGE is here (http://www.kokogiak.com/projects/seawft/reveal_1b.html) and REGULAR size is here (http://www.kokogiak.com/projects/seawft/reveal_2b.html). Take a look, I assure you you will be impressed!
