Hey guys, this is Panzer our now 7 week old German Shepherd, we take him home on December 9th and we cannot wait!

Hes really sweet. I have wanted a German Shepherd for many many years, and my wife and I finally decided now is a good time to get one, so we are pretty excited.

Hes well cute gonna b a looker make sure u keep us updated with his puppy growth lol:)

No flash, just natural light.

The sun was out nicely that day so the shots where something like:

ISO100
1/320th
F4

I then processed them by desaturating the colours apart from his (not that there where many). I then added some vignette to darken the edges and bring back some detail lost in the snow.

I think she's average sized for her young age ... (65 lbs when she was at the vet a couple of weeks ago) .. but with Ron leaning back.. and the size relationship distortion of a wide angle, this shot give the illusion that she's much larger than she actually is.

I would seriously nip this behavior in the bud. As someone who's had shepherds for 40 years, I can tell you that, once they feel it's okay to chew on your arm, they won't stop. A strong "no" will usually do the trick, followed by giving them a chew toy and praising them when they chew on it instead. It'll take a little time and work, but it's well worth it. Your arms will thank you.

A strong "no" will usually do the trick, followed by giving them a chew toy and praising them when they chew on it instead. It'll take a little time and work, but it's well worth it. Your arms will thank you.

Thanks for the tip, thats what we've been doing. Once this dog starts getting bigger trying to stop the bad habits is going to be a huge issue, literally.

This is Nike. Me and just about everyone I know think she's got german shepard in her. Although she does have a few non shepard traits..

Whoah. Looks like a shepherd/boxer mix. I can't say I've ever seen one of those before.

This is my first excursion into DSLR photography. My two dogs have been my "subjects" but the other one walks away everytime I get the camera. Using my XS with the 430 EXII Speedlight with an EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens I got from ebay. Everything was on Auto with the flash bouncing from the white ceiling. Still experimenting with different settings.

Gretchen eventually got "tired" of me and looked away. i chose not to argue with her!!!

Here´s some shots of our former dog "Barro". We had him from the time he was 10 weeks old until he was a year. He was going to be my protection dog at work as well as a family dog. Of the 5 dogs I have had, he was the best of the best.
Unfortenately I got sick by a tick for 1,5 years ago, and was unconcious for 3 weeks, and have been sick since then. So we had to sell him back to the kennel.
He is now working as a police dog in Sweden. He did the tests for that when he was 1,5 years okd and had the highest score at everything.
I really miss him incredibly much.

Here´s our new dude! "Dibs". He is 1 year and 7 months old. He has been relocated to us since his former owner didn´t have the time for him anymore. He´s a lovely guy. He came to us yesterday and I couldn´t take any outdoor pics due to bad weather. So I just took some snaps inside. ISO 2000 and to large aparteure due to bad lightning. More and hopefully better pics will come;)

Here's mine. This is Sascha. I imported her from the Czech Republic 7 years ago. She shares the house with a Golden Retriever, an African Grey Parrot, and 2 cats.

That mark on her neck was from a collar irritation. It's fine now.

The vet said expect him to easily hit 90-100+. The breeder said most all of her dogs are in the mid 80's lol.

His wrist and feet are massive. They are bigger than my wifes wrists already! He sounds like a grown man when he walks in our house, he's a little over 30 pounds right now.

Thanks so much ClaireD, she's a keeper for sure. She's 3 and about 70 lbs. Vet thinks she's as big as she's going to get. We couldn't have asked for a better dog...even though she was found as a stray, she doesn't chew, never had an accident in the house and is just a smarty! The only thing we have to work with her on is pulling on the leash. She's getting better with the help of the Gentle Leader and a few good dog training techniques.

The pulling on the leash is an easy fix and it has always worked for me with mine when they have gone through the teenage stage.

Every time she pulls, immediately turn the other way and start walking. The moment she starts pulling again, turn and walk the other way again. For the first few days you may not get too far on the walk because of walking in one direction and then the opposite direction, but she will soon get the idea. You will not need a gentle leader and when she is walking nicely next to you give her gentle praise so she knows she is pleasing you and it will soon be second nature for her to walk nicely to heel without pulling. Give it a try if you haven't already. Let me know how you get on. But she sounds an absolutely adorable girlie and very lucky she has found a forever home with your family. :D

Good looking hound and I love the name. We have a 3 year old GSD named Sarge and he's about 100 pounds.

Thank you very much! When we brought Sydney in about 4 years ago she was scared to death of any camera; she's a much better subject nowadays. Pretzel really likes her toys so it's been pretty easy to get her to pose nicely!
