Just seen it at www.warehouseexpress.co.uk (http://www.warehouseexpress.co.uk/index.cfm?photo/digicameras/canon.html) for £3599.

Does anyone know what the recommended retail price is?

I have placed an order with Park Cameras at £3499 (6,669 USD), that seems to be about the going rate in rip off UK.

http://www.parkcameras.com/digitalcameras/prices.htm

They are quoting April delivery. They will get theirs b4 Warehouse Express.

They are also having a EOS 1D MkII day with a bunch of sales people from Canon with all their New Kit in their Burgess Hill shop on the 23rd March

Indeed it does, however all UK suppliers were origionally quoting March, however Canon have slipped the date and Warehouse Express have not updated their site.

The reason I say that Parks will get their kit b4 Warehouse Express is that Park Cameras are an official:-

Canon Digital Centre
Canon EOS Pro Dealer
Canon Video Pro Dealer

and have historically recieved new kit well b4 Warehouse Express, mind you I could be wrong, but I am willing to wager

ah yes but then we couldn't enjoy feeling so persecuted, any anyway, who would have us?

(Once you develop a taste for warm beer, there is no going back)

Well, the TBA price is a good sign for now. There's a chance it'll be less than $4500, right? :D I'll say an extra prayer starting tonight until the camera becomes available for a lower price.

Ah, yes, I got my taste for warm beer in Germany, but the same applies - After REAL Loewenbrau, even Coors or Michelob is like soda pop.

Then again, it is said (among the car crowd) that the reason the British drink warm beer is because they have Lucas refrigerators :!:
The previous is an affectionate poke at one of my dearly beloved topics. Please do not take offense. :? :) :D

I'll join you in prayer and sacrifice a chicken (just in case).

Most of us prefer cold lager to warm beer. Our wages are higher. The summer last year was excellent, no idea what this one will turn out like, but that's part of the fun. We like it here. We are really nice people, ask any one of us.

Our motor racing isn't like watching a clock's second hand going round. We put bends going both ways and chicanes in our race circuits to make it entertaining.

Quite right :!: And, just to keep it interesting, y'all give the parts of the circuits names like Dingle Dell, Pilgrims Drop, and Druids. :)

Sorry to see Brands Hatch out of the international loop, it always looked like a more interesting circuit than Silverstone. :(

I really can't afford this temptation. :D

I love my 10D. I love my 10D. I love my 10D.....

I think I can hold out for a couple of years anyway. But this camera sounds so excellent.

I just got my copy of the B&H printed catalog and the price there is $4,495 US.

They have all the latest cameras announced at the PMA show. Who knows how long they've know about them...

Big typo on page 31 where they have the Canon Pro1 as a 3 megapixel camera, though.

Someone at B&H is going to get a call from Canon!

I just ordered my MKII. Got it for just under $4400. Delivery is set for sometime in March. I hope so. Can't wait.

I'm not. If it was still running as an international track it would have been ruined like Silverstone and Donington have. Brands is fantastic just as it stands. :D

I understand, but since I don't cross the pond too often (it will be 20 years this October), I don't get to see too much of Brands - its not on the telly here in the colonies. :D

You're lucky to have it. Cherish it.
