Actually, if they have it at Ritz, chances are that they already have chosen their target market and it isn't anything close to professional.

Actually Ritz is a decidedly "N .n...n..n..n... non-Canon centric" retailer,. they allways push the N...n..n.n.n..n Non-Canon product over the Canon product. I don't know what the relationship is there,. but the correlation can not be denied. Try it some day,. walk in and ask about Digitals.. etc.. and see if they offer up a single Canon camera to look at without you having to ask for a Canon specifically. It won't happen.

When I went to buy my G3 they tried to steer me towards the non-Canon line of cameras. When I was shopping for 300D/10D they again tried to steer me towards brand-N. Go figure. ???

I went to the local Ritz when the DRebel first came out, they had a full page ad advertising it. A full page ad, mind you. When I walked in and asked for the camera they said they didn't have it. I said YOU ran a full page advertising it, and YOU don't have it?... Call me stupid but what am I missing?
A customer walks in wanting to buy a $1k item that you advertised, and you don't have it. Now who is stupid?...
I don't buy anything at Ritz.
