Took this today, was the only shot that came out decent, the rest had bloody blurred foregrand crap ruining the image (was not visible in the viewfinder). Not super pin sharp, the Skink moved when the flash went off, so I suspect some of the total lack of sharpness is due to that.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. Had an OK Christmas, it's rare for me not to go out with the camera at least once a day.
Hope you guys are having/had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was nice to you!

Very well done, I also like the look on his face.:D

I like it too. He looks at you as if you are an intruder, which you probably are in his mind.
I think I envy you living in Australia. Here in Sweden there is mostly a cold rain this time of the year and darkness arrives at half past three. Brrrrr! :(

Thanks for the kind words guys! It was rather interesting, this Skink kept coming back and checking me out for about 5 minutes. Sort of like hide 'n' seek. This shot was the last shot, and the best shot that I could get - I had better shots but had foreground OOF rubbish ruining them :( It seemed to be very curious.

Looks pretty good to me. Was this shot out in the wild?

Shot in the Wild. Said Skink is probably about six cm from nose to tail.

Another great shot here Dave - you get to see so much.
Nice BG, colour and pleasingly sharp too.
It would have been nice to see some more of the skink, perhaps a leg or two - but thats nature photography.

Thanks Wayne & Craig for the kind words. These skinks are very nervous, so they're hard to get shots of as a general rule. I simply couldn't believe that this particular skink kept playing 'peek a boo' with me!
