I vistied South Africa a month ago & spent some time in the mountainous nature reserve of Hogsback
(One of the mountains is shaped like a Hog's back in case any of you were wondering).

Hi,

2nd shot: classic theme very well done to me. Really like it. Not very constructive criticism

1st shot: nice composition, but the sky is a little bit too white to me.

Anyway nice shots.

Hi,

I like both, and am a little curious on the last one. Did you use a grey (neutral density) filter on that, or just a teeny tiny apeture? I am asking because I am wondering if a ND filter should be part of my kit. MOST of the time my problem is not enough light, not too much. If you got results THIS sweet w/o a filter, then I don't need one either.

Do you have a similar shot of this waterfall taken at a faster shutter speed. I would wonder if the water had a lot of bubbles in it, or if it was fairly clear and this is a REALLY LONG exposure.

I understand what the other poster means by "too white" on the first image. That was the only thing that I saw to complain about. Was is a cloudy day, or is a blue sky blown out?

No, I didn't use an ND Filter. It was a very hot & sunny day & there was a lot of tree cover above so I used the smallest apeture I could & was able to expose for 8secs.

Thanks 4 the comments.

I like both shots but prefer the first one - even though its burnt out because of the intensity of the sun I think it adds to the picture and gives it a feel of mist to the left of the picture.

In the second I like the leave at the bottom but would have prefered to see just a tad more of the fall as I feel it looks a little too cropped. Other than that great photo

Well done
