Here is my try at B/W. I used one of the BW convertion from Virtual Photographer.

Great composition of the little one and the low angle of the shot contributed a lot. His face however is soft. The VF filter for BW is great but if I were you I would consider also the manual good way of HUE/Saturation conversion using three layers. In that way you can control much more the skin texture and colors..

You really captured some great expressions. In the first one, I think I'd crop out the door and toy on the right.

Its really hard to comment on pictures of babies, they are oh so cute no matter how you capture them.

Aww he's so cute.

I played with the image a little with noiseware pro and sharpened his face. He's adorable.
