Hi,
Just received my rosco cinegel swatch pack today (ordered about a fotnight ago).
Now, I'm not sure for starters which ones I want to use, but I know that as soon as I take them off the spindle they are bound to get muddled up!
So I have a couple of questions...
How do you organise them?
Which are the key / most useful filters to keep handy?
Any advice appreciated!
TIA

LOL I haven't organized mine. I have them in a stack and as I use one I keep the white card with its name on it off to the side so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. I still don't know what I'm going to do with them but I've already discovered that trying to color backgrounds with these gels on a flash is very hard to do. I do, however think that if you're under strange lights or working in an environment with fluorescent bulbs then there are some gels that are intended to correct color temperature, and I think those are the ones I want to sort out and make use of instead of trying to color a background. They work great if you want to color an entire shot or scene but that is not really desirable.

I predict mine will go the same way as that old card game - 52 pickup!
OMG - some of their titles are, well, interesting eg #02 - "Ba$t**d Amber"! LOL!
Well I guess it's time to improvise...
I would like to make a shortlist of them though so if anyone has done this please do share!

I'm thinking of using them more like Curtis is in THIS THREAD (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=218280).

Thanks for the pointer - that is an interesting and useful read!
I'm sure I'll get my head round it eventually. And I thought colour temperatures etc were complicated BEFORE I got a speedlite! ;)
