Hello folks, I am wondering if you can help me. I need to quickly find a new tripod as I have developed a wrist problem that isn't going to go away.
I use a Canon 30D with 580ex and nothing heavier than a 70-300mm lens. Though twisting my wrist and turning things is difficult, I can manage a fair amount of weight for short periods. The standard clips on tripod legs are not good for me at all.
So...a couple of questions...
Firstly, any recommendations for a set of legs and head...up to £200 max in total.
Secondly..can anyone in the Uk recommend where I can go to try tripods...everywhere seems to be internet only these days and Jessops don't seem to have much. I live in Staffordshire and don't mind driving up to about an hour.
Many thanks.

Not sure about the price, but the Neotec tripod by Bogen/Manfrotto might fit the bill. Basically, there's a single button on the leg that controls leg extension/leg lock.

i was thinking the Neotec variety as well. No twisting or clamps, just a trigger that you pull and slide the legs in and out.

Thanks so much for your replies. The tripod looks just what I need though a little over budget on the limited search I have done so far. I will see if there is one going in the uk on ebay. Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I have a wedding to do on 20.1.07 and don't want to use my old one which is much too hard going for me.
I want to get sorted before then.
