I have a Canon G1.
I have kept my zoombrowser updated and was very happy with the version I had before my computer crashed last week thanks to some idiot who decided to invent DOOM!
After having to re-install Windows XP, my zoombrowser wouldn't work. I called Canon and they were kind enough to help me download the latest version 4.5.1a.
I understand that the previous version was causing problems for some cameras, but....
The previous version allowed me to highlight a picture and then the first picture would be unhighlighted when I highlighted a second picture.
The latest version is like it used to be as far as if you highlight a picture, it stays highlighted no matter if you click on another picture.
That drives me nuts! I find it a pain to have to go back and unhighlight every picture!
I hate the thought of going back to the "unlatest" but I may.
Do any of you have this problem or am I just picky?

It has nothing to do with versions. Just go to Tools - Preferences - Selection and set it to Windows Standard.........

Just curious, what are some new features in 4.5.1a over earlier versions? I have 4.1, should I upgrade? Where did you download the latest version from the Canon web site?

I set about installing Zoombrowser 4.5.1a last night (I run Windows 2000) - and so far have failed to get it into the right place. I have my programs in D drive rather than C drive. I managed to download ok, but failed at the next stage.... Any help would be welcome! I currently have version 4.0.2.120 of Zoombrowser, and have a few problems with it.
Cheers

Stoneylonesome,
Could your version number be 4.5.1.148?
I think that is the most recent version.

Stoneylonesome,
Your version number is 4.5.148, not 4.5.1.148?

I'm sorry I haven't been around to post. I thought I would get an email if someone replied. Whatever.
I've always just called Canon and have had them help me download the latest version. The man I talked with last night said this was the latest version.
Anyway, do you all have to un-highlight every pic?

I think PeterS45 stated this already:
"Just go to Tools - Preferences - Selection and set it to Windows Standard........."
After making this change, you will not have to un-select images.

My apologies, PeterS45, my brain cells are going fast. Thank you so much. I'll try that, and hopefully, it will solve the problem!
Again, thank you!

I just downloaded and upgraded my ZoomBrowser EX to 4.5.1a. The web site said it's 4.5.1a, but after I upgraded the software and go to Help->About menu item, it says the version is 4.5.1.148. Hope this clears up any confusion.
