I did some searches here and learned a few things. But I need a tri pod for this beginner that I can be happy enough with into the future. Not looking to do this for a living etc. just want something of decent quality. The Bogen 3021 comes up a lot around here but what about this one on the Bay? I really don't want to spend over 200.00 for the legs and head. What does the guy mean about the "key" not being supplied anymore? Thanks ahead folks!

Manfrotto tripods and monopods used to come with an allen wrench to adjust the leg locks as they wore.
the allen wrench is normally located in the rubber at the bottom of the centre column, or clipped to a leg
please note i may be wrong, this is just where i saw allen wrenches when i borrowed a manfrotto pod about 7 years ago

Must have been a dumb newb post though (guy doesn't even know that tri pod is one word tripod) Dumb newb! LOL Oh well, I'll keep digging around here and on the net to find what I need.

Look for Dynatran tripods on eBay. There are quite a few members here use their products. I'm an owner of the carbon fiber tripod AT-CF994 and very happy with it.

A missing wrench is not cause to dismiss that tripod from consideration...in about 2 decades of my 3021 I have not needed to adjust it!
