for those that want to extend your Canon Remote I followed this guys instructions http://www.lukemiller.org/journal/2005/05/making-extendable-remote-release-for.html and it worked really well. The only thing is he says that the green cable on the Adidt 'knock-offs' remote is a dud well I found out its the auto focus cable on mine. Green and white auto focus and red and white trip the shutter. I bought a 20 foot 1/8 mini plug stereo cable and it works awesome. I spent $20 on the tips and cable and $13 on the Adidt "knock-off" remote. If anyone wants to extend their canon or Adidt remote I highly recommend it....it works great.
