Here are a few tips that might be helpful:
-Read the stickys at the top of each forum section before asking a question. They explain a lot!
- Read "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. Then start experimenting with the Av setting on the camera. Don't use the green box!
- Get a step-by-step book about Photoshop. Scott Kelby has some good ones on the market.

Matt:
Welcome to the forum. You are so lucky to be starting out with such a capable camera. Those of us who've been around for a while can remember when the sophistication that's built into your camera didn't even exist on the the most expensive digital bodies. Of course, some of us also remember a time when there was no digital.

There's a wealth of knowledge here, so ask your questions. We will direct you to the answer.

Scott Kelby books are good, but there are lots of them out there besides his. Spend some time in a book store and browse through all the books. Decide which is easiest to absorb.

Have fun.

Tom

This forum is an excellent resource. Use if wisely. Ask any and all dumb questions, but make sure to post it in the right section. You have an excellent starting setup. Use the FAQ stickies to the max. They'll answer 99.9% of your questions outright.
