Hi,

I need to take some good stop action shots and I am runnign out of ideas and also places where I can take such shots.

I live in Irving, TX-75039 and If some one can suggest me a good place around here or also Dallas it will be of great help.

Any events this week end also will make my life easy.

Thank you.

You're near Dallas/Fort Worth. Doesn't that area of Texas have more sports arenas than anywhere else in the world? Were you thinking of some other type of action? :)

In the old days, we used to go over to DFW airport to shoot photos of the airliners. Unfortunately, with the present state of security, it might make some authorities nervous to see somebody out there with a big lens that could be mistaken for a missile launcher.

Hi,

I need a place to go for this week end. I have to finish this assignment by the end of the week.

I need some place this week end and I do not have a big lense, so I am limited in resources.

Thanks.

Sounds like you'll need good lighting ... so find an outdoor event where people are running, jumping, swinging, skating, skateboarding, etc. I would be thinking about parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, etc.

You might check http://www.ci.irving.tx.us/ParksRec/sports/ .

If all else fails, get a family member involved and set up a nice action shot or sequence.

Good luck ... we're pulling for you. :)

First thought was rodeos (Texas tereo type I guess), or marathons, 5K/10K, motorcross, offroad events, bicycle races or any sport of choice (tennis is pretty fun)....too many options to list. If that doesn't work for you, move to SoCal and you will never be short of ideas.....

Hope that helps..
