While looking for some information on fixing my Epson 1280 printer, I came across this site www.eserviceinfo.com (http://www.eserviceinfo.com) which offers downloads per the title above for free and thought it might help some of you DIY'ers. Although in English, it appears to be a Bulgarian site and the search function is a bit dodgy, but eventually I found what I was looking for.
Downloaded the manual for the Epson 1270 which is very similar to the 1280. It appears to be legitimate and my virus scanner indicated it was clean. They also have a bunch of other Epson and other service manuals.
