I got the 100-400 L yesterday and caught this guy on my deck this morning. I'm not so sure he likes the size of the thing I'm pointing at him.

400mm at 12 feet doesn't have much DoF. This was at 5.6 allowing hand-held at 1/90. No crop, but it needed some sharpening. Tomorrow I'll try flash with for some more DoF.

He definately had that deer in the head light look! I probably would too if you pointed that lens at me, I like it.

Ya got him Velcroed to the railing otherwise all you would see is his arse and he runs away :lol:
Serious though, really nice shot.
Note to self: Change subject angle.
