Are there any programs that will automactically resize duplicate copies of larger pictures?

PS can do it with my help, doing it to each picture.

i'm looking for a program that can take a folder of image files, i tell it to go to XXXxXXX it does it, makes a new picture etc...

Paint Shop Pro has a script facility - i.e you can write a list of instructions for anything it does - resize, sharpen, crop etc etc and then run that list on a whole batch of files. It can produce copies with all the changes applied and save them in another folder. I use it to make thumbnails and at the same time apply a touch of sharpening etc.

You can create the script just by recording your actions as you do them on one picture. Then they are ready to use on as many as you like after that.

Irfanview will do this, along with some other tricks like batch Canon Raw to anything you like conversion... and it's FREE.

ACDeeSee also will, and there's that cool little XP toybox add-on that does an awesome job and is super fast. PS will too, but it's clunky and slow.

What can be easier than clicking on "File" | "Automate" | "Web Photo Gallery", specifying a few parameters and then sitting back and watching PS go through all your pictures and making thumbnails out of them. As a side benny, it'll even make web-sized copies of your large originals pictures. :)

How many suggestions do you want? :)

BreezeBrowser will do this too.

I use Breezebrowser for this... select the images... a couple of clicks and upload. Done!
