Thanks. :D Got kinda bored today, and I've always wanted to test my old 50mm f/1.8 (1) against my 24-70L. I don't know which one was used unless I look up EXIF.

Little more contrast in the B&W and it would be perfecto! Maybe something like this...

ironically, I came upstairs to check POTN as my 8 year old daughter is practicing violin downstairs!:confused:

I love the first one, preferring color to B/W on these shots.

Thanks. My boy's turning 8 next month. I think I also prefer the color version. Something about violin that I need to see it in color....

if you have CS2 (on the second one) take 2 different shots
one with the foreground focused
second with the background focused
... might need a center shot too

and merge the shots - I did that with some tree's that turned out real nice

... just a thought to push the limits a bit more
