So I typically shoot RAW. I convert in PS. I give my photo files meta data in PS (company name, copyright notice, DVD backup disk name etc.). It is not practical to keep all my highrez photos online. I make smaller JPGs for my online archive and burn the highrez on DVD. PS does this well with batch and keeps the meta data. ALL GOOD.

From there I am still not happy with my work flow.

PS does not have a good slide show option (if I missed it let me know!). So I tried (Apple's) iphoto. iphoto does not read the PS meta data which means I need to key word all my photo AGAIN. Terrible. What's worse is that I find iphoto viewing on LCD softens the photo. Terrible. So Canon has thier little messed up Image Browser app. It does give me a much quality view on my LCD (no softening). But is loses all the PS meta data as well.

I am on a mac and I just Adobe decided not to publish Album for OSX.. Which leaves me in a quagmire of incompatible apps.

Anyone else do it better?

Thanks in advance for any input/

PS.. Been using the 10D for some commercial work. I had not had time to get it out for a random walk on an off day. Yesterday was my first real play day with it. Amazing fun. It was a great day! Having said that, I want more resolution and I miss the wider field of views for landscapes..! Can't have it all.. yet.

These are the shots:

This time without typos. :)

I have still not figured out a truly logical workflow in managing my photo library.

What is everyone using to catalog and browser/search their digital photo libraries? I need to keep low(er) resolution versions of my photos in a searchable archive that can manage; 25,000 plus images, read PS meta data, is easily searchable, and provides good quality LCD viewing. I am not satisfied with iphoto or Canon browser for the reasons stated below.

Great forum.

thanks!

i am using a mac also (OSX) and it works for everthing I do. I think it reads all the meta data from PS (have not tested exstensivley).
