Photoshop CS Problem...appreciate any help

I take a picture on my 10D and put it in a card reader. The file all will show as thumbnails. Then I manipulate the image and save it. Now once saved, they will not show up as thumbnail nor will they open in photoshop CS. I just had photoshop cs and windows XP put into my computer. The file looks like a box with a feather on it(as the photoshp cs cover). Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Everything is jpeg. :cry:

I'm assuming you are saving on the 10D to jpg, you open the jpg in Photoshop, edit and then save out to disk again ?

Are you sure you are saving back to .jpg and not .psd (PS native format) ?

Right click on the thumbnail. Scroll down to where it says "open with" and choose Adobe Photoshop cs. If this is the program you wish to open this particular file type with then make sure you check the box.

thanks for the comments guys......It's working now and I don't know what I did differently. Oh well, I'm happy...brian
