Alright Brian. Does this mean that I will have to shoot some bugs? Way to greet the New Year.

Thanks :)
I quite often shoot flowers but as I have said many times find them much harder than bugs to make interesting (to me at least). But please shoot some bugs- you probably get spider mites and mealy bugs on the cacti :)

Hiya Brian,
Excellent shots, love that Hebe, alas I lost all my Hebes to an attack on the roots by Ants, I had six quite nice specimens & they were devastated almost over one night in the summer.
Cheers for now

Nice shots Brian, #1 especially. I also find that flowers are hard to shoot, making them interesting (colours, composition, dof etc) is difficult.

Thanks for the comments :)
Fairly amazed that there are still "Summer" flowers around in the middle of Winter.
Sorry to hear you lost yours Mark- should have taken some cuttings :)

Beautiful hebe shot Brian.
We have a couple of flowers out in our garden but the weather has not been very kind to photographing them :(

Thanks Linda and BE :)
Linda you are right about the weather but as long as it is not raining or I'll normally be out there :). We had a freak thunderstorm here the other day and one flash with the thunder about 10seconds later made the ground shake. Turned out it hit a house and the roof lifted off and came down again!
