I haven't had a chance to pull out my Macro Lens in a few weeks between being busy, and the weather. This this morning there were blue skies, yay! So I popped outside and snapped off a few.

I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of my 580EX, but in the meantime I thought I'd get in some available light practice.

The ladybirds were in some harsh sun and had a pretty bad glare off their shells (is it called a shell?), so I did what I could to dull the blown out parts.

Nice shots Jen. Depending upon the angle of the reflection, sometimes a polarizing filter can minimize the reflective glare.

I can live with the glare in #3 for its stand out colours - looks like summer already!
