Wonderful work Brian. I particularly like the composition of the daffodil and the texture of the rose. How did you capture the texture on your rose?

Don't like any of those.
Actually they are all excellent, I just wanted to taste what it would be like to rubbish a LordV posting - felt good  .

Thanks Irwin,
Think the rose one is mainly a faded fresco on a pixel doubled image.

Thanks for the comments all and Happy New Year.
Always good to look forward to the coming year and applying all those things we learnt this year.
I might even try more limited DOF shots :)

Whoah, that's some seriously nice shots Brian. The miniature rose impression, poppy and camelia are especially fantastic.

Really wonderful series. You prove that we don't need to get the whole flower to get a great picture.

Are you sure you aren't using a medium format digital?
Those pictures are mighty smooth. Like butter, whipped cream or any other spreadable source of cholesterol.

Excellent non-bug work. I would assume these were taken indoors. Your private garden? :D

Thanks for the kind comments. :)
"what lens were you using? These are GREAT !!!!"
Pics are a mix of sigma 105mm Ex and MPE-65 shots.
"Are you sure you aren't using a medium format digital?"
Think some of these were taken with a lowly 300D but many are severely focus stacked.
"Excellent series Brian! [the first is not macro though ]"
Thanks Al- you are right about the first shot :)
"Excellent non-bug work. I would assume these were taken indoors. Your private garden?"
Thanks BE- Taxing my memory here but pretty sure only #3 was taken inside- rest were in situ (in my garden)
