Hiya All,
Happy new Year to all, well this is my very first & only attempt at a live subject, I know it's OOF but I just wanted to show it ( big kid ) & get some C&C please.
The 400d is just begining to feel comfortable in my hand now & I'm getting to grips with the various setting ( well maybe ) see you can teach an ' Old Dog New Tricks ' :) :)
Cheers for now

Hiya RM, Vini, BP,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments.
RM I've found a Globular wit bright yellow markings on it but unfortunately was unable to get any shots coz immediately after taking this shot we had a massive Hail storm, Thunder Lightning end of play but I'll be hunting it down tomorrow, just hope they're creatures of habit ??
Guess it must be pretty damn cold your way BP.
Cheers for now

No. Surprisingly enough, this has been THE warmest fall since the 1880s (when they started measuring temperatures) here in Finland. We had temperatures of -15*C in mid-november, but since then, it's only been rain and + degrees. Never happened before. I'm seriously beginning to think global warming now!

That's a pretty good shot Mark, looks like you're coming along fine with that 400D. I've never shot with a P&S, but I can only imagine that going from P&S to DSLR must take a bit of getting used to (heavier, more complex etc). Lighting looks pretty good as well.

Well done Mark! Firstly on finding that beast and secondly on getting the pic with the new cam. Was this done with THE light?

Hiya RM, Dave, Al, BE, Brian,
Many thanks for all your kind words & comments.
Thanks for that link RM very handy hopefully.
Dave, the weight I don't find a prob as my one hand is massively powerful guess it makes up for not having two eh, a party trick of mine used to be breaking Brazil Nut by squeezing em between my Thumb & Fore Finger, oops I'm ramblin on, its the complexity Dave that does my old brain in.
Al, I'm still working on that light but I did use it in conjunction with the On-Board Flash.
Brian, The wood grain is from a rotting Eucalyptus Log.
Cheers for now
Mark
