View Full Version : Team Shoot Release/Contract

I have been asked to shoot a local amateur football game by the team manager/organiser. He wants about 75-100 action shots of the game and some pre and post candid’s. Possibly a team line up photo with new kit for the sponsor. It will be presented as a DVD slideshow at a suitable resolution for viewing but not good enough to take descent photos off. I will be offering photos to order from the shoot for those who want them.
My query is do I need any sort of release/contract. I am aware that the sponsor may want photos of the game and use them in his business either hanging on the wall, on his web site or some other way. I don’t have much info on that it’s all speculation. Are there any possible comebacks from players of the opposition or even the home team for that matter if their images are (not individual players) used in this way.
I have looked at the stickies and can’t find anything specific other than the undue burden rule as the only guide.
Many thanks.
